How does online tutoring work?

Aside from meeting via Skype or Zoom, it's just like in-person tutoring.  I use an online whiteboard to provide visual aids, and students and I can share screens and documents when needed.

Do you provide materials?

 

Yes. I will provide any books or other materials we use.

 

What materials do you use?

I have a big library of practice books, textbooks, test prep books, and worksheets I like to use. What we use will depend on our focus and the student's strengths and weaknesses.

How frequently do you meet with a student?

​

The best schedule will depend on the subject, the student, and the situation.  If we are going to meet regularly, the most common arrangement is to meet either once or twice a week for 60 or 90 minutes.

 

What do you charge?

I have an hourly rate, and I also offer packages of hours at discount. Please contact me for details.

 

How will I pay?

I use a variety of payment and invoicing services, including PayPal, FreshBooks, Zelle, and Venmo.  I can accept payments via credit card, bank transfer, or check.
